Ismaele’s stutter has always made him feel ‘alien’.
He found refuge in wildlife photography, where silence is key and new adventures mean never having to fit in. His pursuit of the perfect picture has led to Arctic Norway, where he trains his lens on ptarmigans, otters, humpback whales and orcas.
Suddenly he is hit by a realisation: in the harshest of environments, all these creatures belong. So why can’t he?
